This is an experiment in Photoshop using words and gestalt principles to explain the way a word is used and what it means without a definition. I used the words “Compression” and “Disruption”.
For the following one, “Compression”, I was aiming to show the meaning of the word by compressing a lot of the same word over and over, and then showing how it can squish things. The word that is repeated is in fact, compression.
The following is my interpretation of “Disruption”. I attempted to disrupt the viewer’s way of reading the word, and have a distracting, disrupting background.
